The owner/technician at Computer Consulting and Repair is Ken Melson. Ken began his Information Technology career as a Communications Yeoman in the U.S. Navy. After completion of "A" school in Norfolk, Virginia he worked with cryptography, torn-tape relay, teletype, NORATS and other communications technologies. His duty stations included the U.S.S. Enterprise (CVAN-65), Naval Communication Station in San Miguel, Philippines and Naval Support Facility at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. More recent training includes working in computer repair and help desk environments at Texas A&M University. That exposure to newer IT technologies, and the learning experiences he had with IT professionals and students there, was invaluable. Ken Melson has an A.A.S.degree in Computer Network Administration from Blinn College. He also has an undergraduate degree in General Liberal Arts with a focus on psychology, business and journalism. His "life experience" and the aforementioned academic education has evolved into an occupation that brings him continuing challenges and rewards. |
